This is a karaoke restaurant with Odessa flavor in the 1st Nikoloshchepovsky lane. The institution is named after the Soviet writer Isaac Babel, who in 1931 wrote “Odessa stories” about the life and customs of Odessans.
The restaurant has three floors: on the first floor there is a main hall for 65 people, on the second — private and karaoke rooms for 20-30 people, and on the third-a winter garden with live greenery, a glass roof and a panoramic view of Moscow. There are about 200 seats in total.
The menu is based on traditional recipes from Odessa: pan-fried black sea steers, forshmak, home-made stuffed cabbage, beef Stroganoff or rolls of tulka with boiled potatoes. For a snack, you can take the famous Odessa pies: with meat, cabbage or peas.
A special feature of the establishment is its own smokehouse, where sturgeon, halibut, salmon, dunaika, lufar, Sargan and barabulka are smoked on alder chips. All fish are brought from Sevastopol.
On weekends, the restaurant plays live music, and children are entertained by animators. For younger guests, drawing supplies are always available.
